Dink Report post Posted November 18, 2011 Does anyone use the metal/silver maker stamps with the rivet or srew backs, mostly seen on saddles? Not sure exactly what to call them, but am looking for a good source to get them made. Dink

I'm having a pair done for a personal project in the next few months. You can also ask the engraver to make "proofs" that can then be used to cast future items. Clarity isn't as sharp on cast ones but the cost is much cheaper if you're looking to use them on everything including production products as well as full custom items. Looks like there are a few types to choose from, but they all have minimum quantities. They list them as "Name Plates" and "Maker's Plate." -Ryan

I don't think they have a web site but you might find them in the online yellow pages. They do a nice job at a reasonable price. Blake

Frank Report post Posted November 23, 2011 I believe Montana Silversmiths also makes them and there is no minimum or setup fee...but that was a while ago that I checked. Frank
