Thanks guys. I definitely see lots of room for improvement, but I'm happy with it.

We're always our worst critics. That is a beautifully done belt. You should be very proud of it. That little fault that you see as glaringly obvious is not noticeable to anyone else. How wide is the belt and what weight did you use for the belt/lining?

The stitching is very good as well. Bet you thought you'd never get done with that part, huh?

Thanks Grumpy, I never thought the end was coming. The belt is 1 3/4" wide and it's just a tandy belt blank (so it's a hair thinner than actual 1 3/4"). The lining is a 2 oz calf.

Very nice work, the color, the border, all of it. You did a great job on the basket weave.

I agree with ETW Grumpy, we are always harder on ourselves.

Beaut of a belt Marlon!

I just sent this info in response to a PM I received the other day....

For a 'quick' bead, I use a 'screen spline tool'. Yes, one of the little gizmos to fix window screens. They commonly have two wheels, one convex, one concave. The concave side does make a pretty nice half-round bead. I'll caution anyone who wants to try it to use a straight edge as a guide.

Beautiful Marlon,

I love the color and the even stiching, a belt to be proud about:-)

Thanks Mike, I appreciate it.

Mike, I wrote a tutorial on the beading and placed it in the how do I do that section. You may want to add this techniqe to that thread. I never would have thought of that.

Thanks Tina, I am pretty proud of it.

That's a nice looking belt. What do you use to line belts?
