AndyL1 Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 Hey all, I made this little guy last week and have been using it to make sure I got it right. So far so good! Just a couple of minor tweaks I want to do before offering them up for sale. A standard bi-fold wallet, four card slots and a cash pocket. 4/5oz back with 2/3oz guts. I lined the cash part with black pigs king too. Waddy a think? It's my first wallet so I had to do a lot of thinking about how to make it. Cheers, Andy Quote

AndyL1 Posted March 27, 2013 Author Report Posted March 27, 2013 (edited) Very Nice! Thanks! Andy, I think it's beautiful. What color is that dyed? Cheryl Thanks Cheryl! I used EcoFlo Java brown and sponge antiqued it with some black. Finished with a bit of Resolene. I kind of did this one up really quick so my stitching will be better on the final product. Just kind of wanted to get one done to make sure the size was good. I'm really liking this one. I'm going to do a second where the card slots are horizontal too. Edited March 27, 2013 by AndyL1 Quote

Members lightningad Posted March 27, 2013 Members Report Posted March 27, 2013 Looking really nice Andy. One question - when you say cash pocket - do you mean for paper money? cos i was wondering how you stop coins from falling out? Quote
Northmount Posted March 27, 2013 Report Posted March 27, 2013 Looking good. If you shorten the liner a little more, it won't bunch up as much in the middle when folded. But the downside of that is it won't lay flat when open. At a guess, I'd take another 1/8" to 1/4" off the length of the liner. Since this is only from a photo, it's hard to tell how much it has bunched up, but you can tell better than I if you need to make any change. You do great work. Tom Quote

One question - when you say cash pocket - do you mean for paper money? cos i was wondering how you stop coins from falling out? Thanks all! Yes for paper money. I didn't realize it until now but the photo of the wallet folded is sitting upside down so you can't see the opening. Looking good. Tom I kept the liner the same length as the back, it bunched a little as I was in a rush and didn't let the cement dry overnight. When I make these I'll of course slow down a bit and do it right. ;-) Thanks Tom! Quote
