Members Spindrift57 Posted June 16, 2013 Members Report Posted June 16, 2013 Just finished this bag for my wife to use instead of a handbag when we're on holiday. 1st project and will take a beating so I've used relatively inexpensive materials hence the dark marks. Thanks to all on leatherworker.net whose e-brains I have picked whilst trying to work out how to do things. Next project is a briefcase for me which I'd like to get a bit of tooling onto, although I'll need more practice first! Quote
Members benlilly1 Posted June 17, 2013 Members Report Posted June 17, 2013 Great start for a 1st project! Good luck on the tooling. Quote
Moderator immiketoo Posted June 17, 2013 Moderator Report Posted June 17, 2013 Looks pretty good to me. Stitching looks nice and the overall execution is good. Quote
Members Jimbob Posted June 17, 2013 Members Report Posted June 17, 2013 Same here...very nice looking bag....all natural, sort of rugged looking rustig in a way...like that a lot, let it age for about 20 years or so and you have yourself a family treasure...haha.......good stitching....looks like you burnished some edges and the overall design is well thought....cool....keep it coming....like to see more of your work!! Contributing Member Bob Blea Posted June 17, 2013 Contributing Member Report Posted June 17, 2013 Very impressive for a first project! That's jumping off the deep end. My first project was a checkbook, and it didn't look that good. Bob Quote
