Members rickeyfro Posted October 1, 2008 Members Report Posted October 1, 2008 Can you guys tell me how I go about sealing tooled natural leather, meaning no dye or stain. Quote
ArtS Posted October 1, 2008 Report Posted October 1, 2008 I would just use what you normally would to finish it off. Tan Kote, Resolene, or Leather Sheen. Art Quote
Ambassador Luke Hatley Posted October 2, 2008 Ambassador Report Posted October 2, 2008 I like Leather Balm.....a nice mellow finish. Quote

Members rickeyfro Posted October 2, 2008 Author Members Report Posted October 2, 2008 Thanks guys, do any of these darken the leather more than the others? Quote
esantoro Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 How does Harness Dressing fit in among the other finishes such as Leather Balm, carnauba cream, Aussie Wax, etc? ed Quote
MADMAX22 Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 Thanks guys, do any of these darken the leather more than the others? I would try it out on a few pieces of scrap from the leather that your using. Every one will act slightly different but I am thinking most will darken slightly. Not only that but if you oil it first that will also darken it a shade. And if all else fails the first time it is out in the sun for a good bit it will darken up a bit. Quote
Members whinewine Posted December 20, 2008 Members Report Posted December 20, 2008 Can you guys tell me how I go about sealing tooled natural leather, meaning no dye or stain. Neatlac, saddlelac, pecards, aussie, sedgwick's, clear wax... any of those, plus all the others mentioned. Quote
Members Leerwerker Posted December 21, 2008 Members Report Posted December 21, 2008 Neat-Lac You better buy up some Neatlac quick, HideP ... it is already mostly not available in pints - most Tandy's only have it in some left over gallons ... Quote
