I picked this sewing machine up at an auction and it has potential to have history with my family, the gentleman that brought it in dug it out of the attic of his parents old general store, which was next door to my grandparents on my fathers side, who ran a shoe repair shop. I haven't been able to confirm that it belonged to them but it's interesting none the less.

Looks very nice. I have a 29k-4 that I cleaned up, but I just powdercoated the base, did not do the machine.. You went way beyond what most do to restore the machine. Even more cool that it has a history.

I also have a 29-4 that I redone. It didn't need a lot of restoration when I bought it. I stripped the paint, repainted it the original black and built a modern stand for it along with a Digital Servo. Works nearly perfect. I don't expect machines built 100 years ago to be perfect, even when I go over them.

I was waiting for that comment :P my mother wasn't happy with my color choice either but I figured since I was going to be using it instead of displaying it that a lighter color would help with visibility so I chose industrial gray.
