The hardware was a buckle from a belt I purchased at the Salvation Army thrift store. It had the weight I was looking for and looked really nice so I just removed the tongue to use it. The buckles came from a purse I got on sale at value village. Recycling means I can get some unique things :-)

I sewed this on my vintage singer 153w100. The double lines on the flap were stitched separately. I got some topstitch feet to keep the stitching lines even.

My blog address is at the end of my posts. :-)

Thanks, G2

Ha, everybody has such wildly different ideas of what you should charge (from $150 - $650) that the best you can do is decide how much you need to charge to motivate you to make it.

I don't have a good idea on what to charge either, but it looks really good so make sure you charge enough to make it worth your time. That is a really professional looking bag!

Thanks for the kind comment Bob. It's probably the thing I am most pleased with so far in my leather working stuff. Not totally happy of course-there are always things I could have done better and from what I read, I think most of us are like that.

Tom, I am in the GTA so I think I could ask that. My sister in law thinks so anyways. It's just a matter of whether I have enough of the leather left to do so and deciding if I really want to try and replicate it. Sometimes when your hobby becomes a job, you lose your hobby.
