camano ridge Report post Posted April 21, 2014 Are you looking for something like pictured below? What Model Smith is it? If you get a pattern how are you going to form the holster with out the gun? When I need a gun i can't get my hands on I make one out of wood. If you have basic wood working skills find a good profile picture of the gun, print it out then enlarge to the actual size. Cut the paper gun out and trace onto something like 3/4" pine cut it out. Then cut off the barrel and replace with an apropriate size piece of dowel, then cut out the area for the cylinder and fill that area with an apropriate sized piece of dowel Below is a picture of a wooden mold I made. It is a Colt New Service Revolver. THe silver is Duct tape used to get the correct diameter. If you have basic skills and some basic tools it take about a half hour. PM me if I can help. BDAZ Report post Posted April 21, 2014 (edited) You could ask her to purchase a blue gun of the appropriate model: I don't think it's illegal (yet) to own a plastic gun in the UK?! Plan B would be to find a toy revolver that matches her gun and ship it over. Not sue if there are many available in the UK. BDAZ Report post Posted April 21, 2014 You need to have the specific model of the gun and barrel length. Cya! Bob
Matt S Report post Posted April 21, 2014 Blueguns are about £50 in the UK, not cheap for a one-off project. Inexpensive airsoft revolvers may be a bit cheaper but Sharkey will need to know some more details about the gun, mainly the frame type and barrel thickness. Dwight Report post Posted April 21, 2014 Sharkey, . . . Smith and Wesson makes about as many revolvers and there are hats for the Queen to wear. Get a model number, . . . or at least the frame designation, . . . somebody should be able to fix you up. I have one for a S&W 5 shot snubbie, . . . made for a lady who would do all right with it against 6 bad guys. She'd shoot the first five and beat the last guy to death with the empty gun. Let us know, may God bless, Dwight
