JerseyFirefighter Report post Posted August 3, 2014 Hey Folks, So I figure i'd present my first ever leather project. I made this for my 1 yr old Dobie Jäger for his birthday. I bought the tools as I went along and completed the collar without templates or much practice (aside from some edge beveling and rivet setting on smaller scraps) I learned alot along the way and have a few collars in mind for my smaller dogs. I would also like to branch out to tooling and carving for some fun FD projects. I know I have to work on my edges, but it took so long to go from start to finish I wanted to make it in time for his 1 yr bday That said.. here's my first attempt. Any fault you find with your edges will either disappear with a bit of use, or should never have been faulted to begin with, unless you've done made some very deft alterations to the photographs! My edges, on the other hand, are done so poorly that I spend twice as much time burnishing as the rest of the steps combined. (And to little effect even then.)
