Members tboyce Posted December 2, 2014 Members Report Posted December 2, 2014 ETW Grumpy hit me up with a really easy (like it took 10 minutes to make) pattern for a coin purse. Since my brain was about to be fried working on a much more complex pattern so I decided to take a break and tackle this one. Christmas is coming and I'd like to get as many easy to make/quick gift idea patterns out there as possibleThe print size is 8-1/2x11 coin purse.pdf Quote

Members 25b Posted December 2, 2014 Members Report Posted December 2, 2014 You rock Tom. I really appreciate the trouble you go to to make these awesome patterns for everyone. Thanks so much. Levi Same here, Tom...you are just a fine gentleman. I know you already put a lot of work into these...I would really appreciate your suggestion of what weight leather to use for these awesome patterns. Would it be possible to include notes like that on the pattern? It is hard to keep up with details like that when they're not inside the pattern. I don't want to ask extra work of you...it's just an idea I had...please feel free to ignore it... Quote

ETW Grumpy Posted December 2, 2014 Report Posted December 2, 2014 If it were me, I'd use 6-8 oz veg tan. Do you mean for this coin purse? I was thinking 3/4 oz at the thickest. Quote
Members tboyce Posted December 3, 2014 Author Members Report Posted December 3, 2014 I like thicker leather but that's just me Quote

Members Dozen Posted January 11, 2015 Members Report Posted January 11, 2015 Hey tom, you are a great contributor. How does this work in real life, what happens if its opened the wrong way do the coins fall out? Or is it supposed to be used like sort of squeeze the sides and let them slide into the pocket end before closing? hmm i think i answered my own question after thinking about it Quote
