Rohn Report post Posted January 9, 2015 I have carried one of these little change purses with me most of my life, so I decided to make one to match my billfold that I posted a few weeks ago. Here it is but because it is now it doesn't want to co-operate and stay closed, so I am helping it a little bit. If I was going to sell it I would put a snap on it but I never put snaps on the ones I make for myself. After I carry it in my back pocket for a few hours it will stay closed with no problem. The third picture is my old change purse beside the new one. The last picture is the wallet I made a few week ago, a pen I turned and my new change purse. Halitech Report post Posted January 9, 2015 that's really cool looking Rohn. Nice job on the lacing. Just out of curiosity, how old was the old change purse?
Rohn Report post Posted January 9, 2015 Halitech, Thanks for the comment. The old change purse was not all that old. Probably 1 1/2 -2 years. I have worn them out before though. They get holes in the bottom from the change in them.
Halitech Report post Posted January 9, 2015 That's why I was curious as to how old it was, to see how well it stood up and I'd say they will stand up pretty good
TJP Report post Posted January 9, 2015 Nice work Rohn. Interesting dye job.
Rohn Report post Posted January 10, 2015 Thanks TJP. I did not dye any of this leather except some dark on the edges where the lace covers it to keep it form showing through. This leather comes already dyed this color from Springfield leather.
Troy Burch Report post Posted January 10, 2015 I've never had the desire to make a billfold even though I get lots of people asking for them, but I gotta tell you thats beautiful and has me thinking I may have to change my mind. Troy
LederRudi Report post Posted January 10, 2015 As always: a very nice lacing job. I like the two tone finish of that croc print. It's a pity that on this side of the pond we are dependent on whatever Tandy UK supplies.

Rohn Report post Posted January 12, 2015 Thanks Eddie, Bob and Wild Bill. Yes this is the first matching set, but there will be more to follow. I'm also thinking about doing a checkbook cover to match.
