Members verus22 Posted April 4, 2015 Members Report Posted April 4, 2015 (edited) Getting some practice in with a 'manager's special' belt blank from Tandy. This is the first full-size belt I've completed. Dye is Fiebing's 'Saddle Tan', stitching is Tiger Thread, "Havana", 1.0 mil, 7 spi, saddle stitch w/overhand knots on each crossover. Made plenty of small mistakes, but learning fast! (constructive criticism is always welcome!!) Edited April 4, 2015 by verus22 Quote

Are you using a pricking iron? or just punching the holes one by one with a diamond awl? I am impressed!!! :D Quote
Members verus22 Posted April 7, 2015 Author Members Report Posted April 7, 2015 Thank you to everyone for your kind comments!! I use a japanese stitching iron (like a pricking iron, but designed to go all the way through the leather), and occasionally need to use the diamond awl. Quote
Members lel Posted April 9, 2015 Members Report Posted April 9, 2015 Nice stitching - very clean and consistent. Brass hardware and "saddle tan" leather look good together. Quote
Members Oldtoolsniper Posted April 9, 2015 Members Report Posted April 9, 2015 That looks great. Quote
