Members msdeluca Posted May 17, 2015 Members Report Posted May 17, 2015 I've had great luck with Goods Japan and usually get my orders within a couple of weeks. Got one tool with a green stained wood handle... weird. I've also had excellent luck with: Beilier’s Manufacturing and Supply 3025 Harvest Drive Ronks, PA 17572 They don't have a website, so you have to call (717-768-0174) or fax (717-768-0097) or mail the order. You can call or fax them and they will send an extensive catalogue with pricing... good pricing, and fast shipping. Their customer service is also excellent. I think they are Amish, thus the lack of a website. They have name brand and their own brand tools. I've purchased their punches and they are excellent. They also have the best price on Fiebings Professional Oil Dye that I've found, but they don't carry all of the colors. You name it, they've got it. Members felis Posted May 19, 2015 Members Report Posted May 19, 2015 Thanks for all your informations and feedback it is most helpful! I think I will try both shops Would also love to try Beilier’s Manufacturing and Supply but since I am in Irland I will stick with online shops for now Quote
Members 25b Posted May 19, 2015 Members Report Posted May 19, 2015 Goodsjapan overcharges on both their items and their shipping. I've been very happy with every order and I buy from them often. Tools are the same brands as goodsjapan, just at better prices and I usually receive my orders within about a week. Quote
Members RStevenson Posted May 20, 2015 Members Report Posted May 20, 2015 (edited) I ordered a bottle of black edge kote and some daubers from leathercrafttools.com about three weeks ago (unregistered small packet) and still haven't received it. It sucks because I have a bunch of stuff sitting here waiting to be finished. I know it's the cheapest shipping option but the website still says 10 days to NA. and its been like...22. No tracking either so I have no idea where it is. Update - Emailed them today and got this response: "Hello Ryan, As we have already written on our website, nothing can be done about the delivery issues on unregistered small packets. Sorry that we can't give you a help. It is unable to track and doesn't have guaranteed delivery. Regards, Toshiki" I was hoping I could at least get a credit for shipping on my next order or a discount code of some sort. I guess I'm going to have to re order it from somewhere else. It's been almost a month now and my products are waiting to be finished who knows if it's still coming or not. Anyone have experience shipping to Canada from them? My last order from them was EMS and it took 4-5 days... Edited May 20, 2015 by RStevenson Quote
Members felis Posted May 20, 2015 Members Report Posted May 20, 2015 I bought already a few times on ebay from Japan (not leather related) and unregistered mails can take up to a month to arrive. 1 even took 1 month and a week...so I would not give up hope Quote
Members eternoui Posted May 20, 2015 Author Members Report Posted May 20, 2015 I saw their disclaimer on their website. Most probably is Delayed somewhere. Dont give up Quote
Members grmnsplx Posted May 20, 2015 Members Report Posted May 20, 2015 Sometimes stuff get sent by ship by accident. I've had stuff take 6 and 8 weeks from Japan before. Years ago, while I was living there my mother sent be stuff for Christmas. She paid for first class shipping, but something got messed up and it ended up on a ship. At least there was tracking though. Quote
Members mickthedig Posted May 22, 2015 Members Report Posted May 22, 2015 Since November last year I have placed 4 orders with Goodjapan and all of them have taken 3 to 4 weeks to arrive. All the tools I have orders have been really good and should last years Quote
