Have a look Nigel Armitage's youtube channel. He has reviewed most of the pricking irons out there. https://www.youtube.com/user/Nordicbadger

How to glue pig skin lining to very waxy Horween leather
mickthedig replied to mickthedig's topic in How Do I Do That?
I have some spare bits I will do some test. Thanks -
I am making a folio case and need to line it with pig skin, but the Horween leather I am using is very very waxy and I am worried the glue will not stick. I am wondering if there is away to remove the excess wax before I glue them togeather Anybody had the same problem and what did you do to get round it? Thanks

Selling on Etsy- clue me in? Please.

Got my first sale on Etsy this week after 4 months. 7 Horween belts I think for a wedding party. Hooray -
I use toothpicks on thin leather and pencils for thick leather. The wood seems to hold the edge paint better than any of the metal tools

I buy 90% of my leather from them. I have never had a problem.

I messed it up

I think we all have done something like this. I made a bag looked great but the top was to stiff and the zipper cut into your hand every time you tried to use it. But its how we all learn. -
Yes that would be a good idea, Have a look at this video

My problem with Etsy is I only make a few things a month and most of them are sold before they are finished, but now and again I have a single item to sell. But no one buys from a site with only one listing. I thought about putting my head down and making say 50 items as stock then listing them all at once, but I cannot face it. I like making things where I learn something new. I would be great if there was a supplier that made great items that I could buy $200 -$300 worth items and sell on my shop just to keep it ticking over. SO that my single items had a better chance of selling. Mick -
Thanks I will check it out.
