I am carrying a wallet laced with goat lace. 1/8" in 3/32" slits. Has been in my back pocket everyday for over 20 years. Lace still looks great. And when the corners start to wear out, I'll re-lace it, If I'm still around!

Wow Tom, I had no idea the braided edge would last that long. Going in and out of pockets that is.

I've braided lots of items, but never a wallet edge.

Thanks for the reply. I might have to try one for myself.

Good things to ya.

These are all fantastic! Not only is your tooling great, your use of dyes and acrylics is on point as well. I'd be happy to carry any one of these pieces. Thanks for sharing, can't wait to see what comes next.

Just learning how to lace, what size lace did you use and how far from the edge were the holes (slits) punched? I assume the slits are the same size as the lace.

How do you know when to use 3/32" or 1/8" lace?
