First and foremost I want to thank ArtS for his Chap Purse article in LCSJ.

I made this one for my sister for Christmas and I hope she'll like it.

I definitely need to work on fringe.

Thanks again Art.

Very nice. Good choice with the little white/tan? strips, a very nice little addition of some lighter colors. Good job.

Nice job! I like the look. Just out of curiosity, what is the length from top to bottom of the "chap", not counting the fringe?

Came out really nice! Good job. Glad I could help.

CDTHAYER; it's 12 1/2" plus 5" of fringe. See attached picture.

Thanks for all of the comments.

I'm happy with most of it, but then again I guess we're our worst critic. I'm not too sure that I'd use the leather I used for the chap again, but it was scrap leather that I had.

Thanks again Art for the additional instructions.

That is one of the coolest purses I've ever seen! At the motor cycle shop, they make purses that look like a little leather jacket. They're awfully cute.

May I make a suggestion? On your next chap purse, make the name smaller and put some of your tooling on the front. Your tooling is so nice, you want to show it off!

Thanks Kathy. Point taken and I think you're spot on.

Thanks for the idea.
