Members LeatherLegion Posted August 20, 2015 Members Report Posted August 20, 2015 Here are 2 new belts made out of 9-10oz stitched all the way around with heavy duty #346 thread. I tried to avoid bulking up the buckle end by setting the buckle in place using 2 small steel tabs . Comments are welcomed . Thanks ! Quote
Members Troy Burch Posted August 20, 2015 Members Report Posted August 20, 2015 Nice belts, nice stitching, and nice loops. I can see you take care to make a nice product so I have to ask, why did you leave the edges in that shape? Seems to me a little more work and you'll have a top notch belt. Quote
Members LeatherLegion Posted August 20, 2015 Author Members Report Posted August 20, 2015 On light color belts I usually don't finish the edges...just a matter of personal preference . On the black I got the edges finished properly. Quote
Members 25b Posted August 20, 2015 Members Report Posted August 20, 2015 The unfinished edges on the brown ones really degrades the quality, in my opinion. Quote
Members dikman Posted September 3, 2015 Members Report Posted September 3, 2015 I agree, not finishing the edges makes it look as though you were in a hurry. I'm a rank amateur at this stuff, but I've found that people were very impressed when they saw finished edges on the (three) gunbelts I made. They asked how on earth I did it! Quote
Members LeatherLegion Posted December 15, 2015 Author Members Report Posted December 15, 2015 Same style , black stitching , new buckle , finished edges Quote
Members 25b Posted December 15, 2015 Members Report Posted December 15, 2015 Those look remarkably better...good job. Quote
Members tnhomestead Posted December 27, 2015 Members Report Posted December 27, 2015 Where did you gt the buckles and snaps to hold them in place? I really liked them! Quote
Members club49 Posted January 19, 2016 Members Report Posted January 19, 2016 Who did you get the buckles from, they look great. Nice job. Jim Quote
Members LeatherLegion Posted January 19, 2016 Author Members Report Posted January 19, 2016 The buckles are from a leather shop here that makes belts amongst other things, for few brand names out there. They bring most of their hardware from Italy in large quantities...The owner doesn't mind selling me once in a while buckles or other hardware that I might be interested in Quote
