9tpi Report post Posted September 24, 2015 Hello Everyone, This is the first time ( i think) posting any of my work on the forum, though i have been lurking for a few years. Hand sewn using linen thread with a 9 tpi iron (8 spi i guess) with a "saddle stitch" technique. Handles, lining, and zipper next. Thanks for looking

MikeG Report post Posted September 24, 2015 That's a lot of hand sewing. Your attention to detail - burnished edges, excellent straight stitching - is to be admired, as is the duffel. I hope to see more of your work!

9tpi Report post Posted September 25, 2015 What color is that Essex? I've used some black Essex I got from Maverick but this looks nicer. It's what maverick called "Whiskey Jack". Similar to Horween's first quality Cognac brown. I am very curious about making the interior. how does one ensure it's not too big or too small? Good question, this is my first lined bag so I'll let you know what I do... Once I do it 😜
