Members Frederiek Posted October 19, 2015 Members Report Posted October 19, 2015 Just send it to me and I'll throw it away for you :D I appreciate perfectionism, just don't let it spoil the fun. A bit of realism is in place Quote My website My Etsy store
Members DR80 Posted October 20, 2015 Author Members Report Posted October 20, 2015 Very nice. You did the center portion like petewon right? with the front panel facing backwards and the center strip? Yes. But i'm not sure if i do it again. Quote
Members lilwaysleather Posted October 20, 2015 Members Report Posted October 20, 2015 Yes. But i'm not sure if i do it again. Yes. I tried it the other day and after having it cemented in place for a few minutes I didnt like the way it was bending at the center so luckily I was able to rip the piece off! I am going to have to settle for the front piece not being lined on the inside when doing bifolds with hidden pockets. If I was to fully line the inside I would have 6 layers of leather! (pocket, hidden pocket, front panel, lining, back lining, back). Without a skiver or splitter just would be too thick IMO! Quote

This one is not lined at the back and it looks good because the flesh side is nice (splitted with bandknife) it would be nice if it was possible to find thinner calf with finished flesh side. Quote
Members mpluc1 Posted October 21, 2015 Members Report Posted October 21, 2015 Hey this looks great! I've been meaning to start on my first wallet but it's so intimidating. I don't even see any issues with your stitching! What oz. leather did you use for this? Quote
