Rohn Report post Posted November 20, 2015 Those are outstanding. I also really like them. The artwork is exceptional. What weight of leather do you use? How do you attach them to the stools?
corkscrew Report post Posted November 20, 2015 Thanks Bob & Rohn. 5-6 oz. leather, cut about 3-4" larger in diameter than the stool top, skive the edges about 1 1/2" in all around. Wet, pull tight and staple to under side on stool top. This of course is after tooling and coloring. Finish is super sheen, several coats. They get some abuse from pants rubbing on them, sweat, rain, etc.
Rohn Report post Posted November 20, 2015 Thanks for the information. I'll have to try those sometime.
LederRudi Report post Posted November 21, 2015 Those are pieces of art! But FOR SECURITY REASONS YOU SHOULDN'T LET FIREARMS LIE IN THE OPEN ON YOUR STOOLS! (Means: they - especially the 1851 Navy - look like you could grab and shoot them!)
