faceOdd Posted January 27, 2008 Report Posted January 27, 2008 I don't know what color bike it's going on, but a really, really deep midnight blue is a very nice alternative to black. As is a very dark, almost black, red. Not that I personally think there's anything wrong with black : ) Of course, a customer who wants black wants black. It's just one of those 'upsell' options you could use when negotiating the details. I usually talk people out of brown because I prefer to work with black. But I have to make a little kid's bag out of glow-in-the-dark bright green. THAT will be interesting. The only part I'm looking forward to is sewing it with some awesome white Nomex cord that I got at a garage sale - 7 big spools for $5! That seat's a beauty! Tammy Quote

If the customer wants to cover it in green flouro paint, it doesn't matter...we saw it...we know. Take his money and move on to your next great piece. Quote

Roger Posted January 27, 2008 Author Report Posted January 27, 2008 thanks guys! i quite often can talk the cusomer out of black. if it was me i would have donwe it in buckskin or saddle tan or some fade of browns. the bike is lime green so, no way blue would work. i spent some where around seven hours tooling. prolly another hour and half tracing the pattern and then transfering it to the leather Quote
