Members dikman Posted September 17, 2016 Members Report Posted September 17, 2016 I just got around to watching the video, and yes, I wouldn't last long with that infernal beeping! That's really bizarre. Quote Machines wot I have - Singer 51W59; Singer 331K4; Seiko STH-8BLD; Pfaff 335; CB4500. Chinese shoe patcher; Singer 201K (old hand crank)
Members brmax Posted September 17, 2016 Members Report Posted September 17, 2016 +1 I would be looking for a malfunction code and then it would be history, pdq ( . ) all aside a thanks for the video build and lesson in it, its great! Some of these things nowadays, its like no one understands, so mfg's think and started then continued to promote by putting more beeps n whistles. What happened to hey! stop look listen with one beep signal. I have seen this also grow in flashing lights to a point its almost normal, and or insignificant and this has been a hazard. Why I don't know but I'm using a spare / left over dorm microwave in the shop that seems to beep 5 times, "uh hello" mfg's 1 signal time is good, I'm from the old school and understand " stop" . Trox Posted September 22, 2016 Report Posted September 22, 2016 By the way, not a very good way to attach a speed reducer; you cannot tension the machines V belt this way. Members VolkerRichter Posted March 30, 2017 Members Report Posted March 30, 2017 Hello from Europe. Excuse my poor english. But maybe i found answers for my questions. Please, which german mother or grandma has the "Typical 2603"? Thank you for answer. Quote
Members Constabulary Posted March 31, 2017 Members Report Posted March 31, 2017 Most likely the Typical 2603 has no German relatives. Not all sewing machines have German roots. Not sure who came out first with this model, maybe Mitsubishi or Seiko or Juki... not sure... Members VolkerRichter Posted March 31, 2017 Members Report Posted March 31, 2017 Thank you for answer. I know, SINGER build many perfect machines, like my shoe patcher 29k..., and is not a german product. But many of the german sewing machines goes to Clones. I think a Pfaff 335 Clone is too fine for my work, and i think a Cowboy/Hightex 3200, 4500 is not fine enough for my work. And so i check the Informations of the GC 2603. And, maybe, such a GC 2603 is a good machine to do my work. I search, and i search, but i found only a lonesome Global Machine and no other machine that looks and feel like the Typical GC 2603. You know other Brands of this machine ? Quote
MADMAX22 Posted April 1, 2017 Report Posted April 1, 2017 Cobra 26 maybe (not the same but middle of the road none the less) or the cowboy equivalent which is the same thing different color. Quote
Members PhotoDarlin Posted April 6, 2017 Members Report Posted April 6, 2017 Hi, I live in Texas USA, and am trying to find a machine for leather purses. I know I want a cylinder model and something that preferable can go up to at least 210 thread, One of the stores in Dallas recommended the Typical GC 2063 or Thor GA 441. Another friend recommended the Cobra class 3. Also the cowboy. What is the Typical a clone of? Any suggestions? Thanks, this is my first industrial model. Darlene Quote

Members PhotoDarlin Posted April 6, 2017 Members Report Posted April 6, 2017 I called the Cowboy / Solar Leather Machines in Arlington. They said the 3200 is for heavier leather and larger thread like the 270 or bigger. If using mostly the 138 and purse leather, than the 341 would work better. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Thanks Darlene Quote
