Members lachopperboy Posted May 23, 2016 Members Report Posted May 23, 2016 Hi everyone! i ve been working wth leather and been a member of this forum for a while now but i never really shared any of my projects until now. i have recently designed a mini fat bowie for myself named "The Monster Cleaver" and got it done through ABS J.S. Doug Campbell. After getting the knife done i have decided to make a unique and one of a kind sheath and way to carry it, so i ve started my designing process and came with what i thought was a unique design. Anyways i wanted to share the finish product with you and get your opinions and any questions you might have about the sheath or the knife. Thanks for checking out my work and topic, i hope you like what your see, thanks again and enjoy. Quote
Members Martyn Posted May 23, 2016 Members Report Posted May 23, 2016 I love the look of it, but what about retention? Is is held just by friction? Quote
Members lachopperboy Posted May 23, 2016 Author Members Report Posted May 23, 2016 Hi Martyn yes it is. Quote
Members stu925 Posted May 24, 2016 Members Report Posted May 24, 2016 Sheath looks great but the blade is beautiful. I can't get comfortable with crossdraw carry, seems like my spare tire always gets in the way. Stu Quote
Members lachopperboy Posted May 24, 2016 Author Members Report Posted May 24, 2016 Hi stu925! Thanks for the compliments, for me it is the opposite, i am much comfortable with cross draw carry. Quote

Members jstar61 Posted May 24, 2016 Members Report Posted May 24, 2016 Very nice. What tool did you use for the stamping on the back? Quote

It's a BK geometric 'honeycomb serpentine'. I actually prefer the front, which I think is a BK quatrefoil hollow with a seeder in the middle. Edited May 24, 2016 by Martyn Quote
Members particle Posted May 24, 2016 Members Report Posted May 24, 2016 Love the mottled coloration around the border. Very burl looking. Cool knife design! Quote

Members silverbullet Posted September 18, 2016 Members Report Posted September 18, 2016 Like it , always liked crossdraw ,I know if the crap ever hit the fan . The knife on one side and pistol on the other. Even a between the shoulder scabard for a sbr. YUPP got to be prepared. Nice job. Quote
