splinters Report post Posted June 29, 2016 (edited) Would someone please tell me the difference between Fiebing Dye and their Prodye? Also, is mixing just dye compatible with Neatsfoot oil? Edited June 29, 2016 by splinters
Colt W Knight Report post Posted July 10, 2016 Fiebings pro oil dye is just better quality alcohol based dye, its not actually oil based. In my experience, I get better coverage with their pro oil dye, and it doesn't rub off near as bad as the USMC Black dye. I don't think you would get good results mixing it with neatsfoot oil. fks1 Report post Posted July 13, 2016 I have purchased "pro oil dye" online on two occasions. The bottle that i received said "Pro Dye" but does not indicate "oil dye". Are they the same?
Colt W Knight Report post Posted July 14, 2016 Yes, fiebings pro oil and pro dye are the same. I guess they are phasing out the word oil to ameliorate the confusion.
