It's not a fault, it's a feature. It allows you to see what you're stamping without your hand getting in the way. Now EVERYBODY will want one!

Can I put my order in now?

How about crowdfunding.

Same with the cheap sets of chinese strap end punches. I have to bang a few back straight every now and then. I've been trying to muster up the courage to spend $450 for each round and english point set from Weaver....but that damn cheap set wont die just yet.

These were the cheapo set on Amazon.  They're my only tools that didn't come from Tandy.  I'm not really into carving and stamping, but I wanted to mess around with it without have to invest a significant amount.  I've gotten more into basket weave, and have bought higher quality tools from Tandy for stamping (basket, camo, and veiner).  The barrels are actually larger and more comfortable.

That's exactly what they are great for.  You can muck about with a cheap set, and make up your mind what you want to spend real money on.

Just so!  I went to Tandy during a sale and spent $5 more on three stamps than I did in total for the 15 stamps that I bought on Amazon.

Why not just make your own as I have done. Or if you do not have a lathe a friend can make strap end punches in a few minutes for you. The cheapest ones I found were $65.00 each it took me about an hour to make 3.  And the $65.00 ones were likely no better than the tolls this person bought.
