Members LumpenDoodle2 Posted May 10, 2017 Members Report Posted May 10, 2017 Funny enough, I've just had a large bottle of dye delivered today. Unfortunately, it wasn't boxed, but just bubble wrapped, and the top was broken off due to being dropped somewhere between the supplier, and my humble abode. Interesting mess. Quote “Equality? Members Sonydaze Posted May 10, 2017 Members Report Posted May 10, 2017 ....having the lid come off a gallon of contact cement while you are vigorously shaking it makes for an 'interesting' clean up. Members Bodean Posted May 11, 2017 Members Report Posted May 11, 2017 I picked up a bottle of black paint to move it, top not screwed down and flung it over the bench. Aaaaaargh, screw the top on dummy. Quote
Members TonyRV2 Posted May 11, 2017 Members Report Posted May 11, 2017 While I don't have a leather related liquid disaster to share, I do feel you pain. Once, when deciding to do a little touch up painting on a car, I filled an 8oz styrofoam cup up with some lacquer paint. Did you know that lacquer paint will eat through styrofoam in a matter of seconds? Did you know that lacquer paint will eat through styrofoam in a matter of seconds? Hahahaha!!! I dumped a small bottle of purple one day. My vinyl plank floor passed the test though. A little denatured alcohol and a rag had it cleaned up in no time. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
