alpha2 Report post Posted August 13, 2017 Two more...one is "almost just like" the first two, the last is because the guy wanted two, and I thought I'd try out the new airbrush. Hey, he should have been more specific. The airbrushed one is actually my trophy wife's fave. Once again, the "club colors" of the VFW Warriors club are black and yellow... you guessed, right? The pic shows the nasty-a$$ed sheaths they knives came with, and my "new and improved" sheaths. Keeping in mind that the blades didn't really deserve any more than the aforementioned N-A sheaths shown.
kiwican Report post Posted August 13, 2017 I really like the yellow thread and how it contrasts against the black

I have. $150 Pasche air brush that I rarely use - for dyeing and shading, spraying Resolene I use a cheap airbrush from Harbor Freight - was $10 with 20% discount and works great! I sprayed this cigar case with it.

alpha2 Report post Posted August 14, 2017 how'd you get the dye to match the cigars?
alpha2 Report post Posted August 14, 2017 I use a Pasche also. I wish I had a dedicated place for the airbrushing. If I have to do it in the garage, I have to move my truck out. If it's not windy or raining I do it just outside the side door of the garage. I just remembered that someone always asks to see the blades... Yes, the one on the right has crinkle paint. Ugh. I just experimented with a couple of dyes - didn't really try to match the cigar color - I just liked the sunburst effect! I have a simple setup to spray in my basement - two furnace filters in front of a box fan - a large foil pan in front of the filters to catch overspray and drips when cleaning the airbrush- and a piece of cardboard surrounding the pan to prevent overspray. Simple and works really well!
