Members CedarCreek Posted January 9, 2009 Members Report Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) This is some thing I made a while back for my brother in-law, who is a real Star Wars Geek. He is part of a Star Wars fan club the does alot of charity work with the childrens hospitals, etc. This is not my best work but it is fairly accurate as far as a movie prop goes. Members wildrose Posted January 9, 2009 Members Report Posted January 9, 2009 I don't think I can show that to my bro-in-law because I'd have to be making one after! He is a total SW freak. I got him this trivia book game off Amazon.com for Christmas. Generally I don't buy him SW stuff 'cuz he has it all already. When I told him I'd never seen Empire Strikes Back, he bought me the whole trilogy for Christmas that year. Quote

Thanks, I cut the two large buckles from some thin gauge stainless steel and then tack welded some loops to the back for attatching the belts. I cut them by hand and then sanded and polished. The project was on a pretty low budget. If I were to do it again I would draw them up in CAD and have them laser cut. Quote
Members nick Posted January 9, 2009 Members Report Posted January 9, 2009 Oh man! That is so cool! Who wouldn't want want to be Han Solo for a day? Now, the real question is, can you make Princess Lea's bikini for my wife? Quote

Members HellcatLeathers Posted January 11, 2009 Members Report Posted January 11, 2009 Great job! But what I want to know is....what all did you use to make Han Solo's blaster? Quote
Members K-Man Posted January 11, 2009 Members Report Posted January 11, 2009 Nice job! I did some of the same kind of stuff a couple of years ago for a young girl, who won 1st place in the costume contest, at the SW convention in Indianapolis. The one thing I learned through it all is the serious folk want every last detail adhered to. Her dad was calling me literally every day. I swore I'd never do anything like that again. Quote
