CowboyBob Report post Posted November 17, 2017 Yes,it's an early one before they made the beam improvement on the top & is the back open on it? Google "Singer UFA" for more info.

alexitbe Report post Posted November 17, 2017 Thank Bob for the information... Everyday is a new chance to learn... I will post a picture of the back tshortly... Constab, he wants 89 Euros for it and I can pick it up for you, since its relatively close. If you are interested I will send you the link. Since I have my Claes, I am not interested in another patcher... Cheers Alex

shoepatcher Report post Posted December 9, 2017 (edited) This is either a U.F.A. machine or the early 29s'. Singer went from letters to numbers for model numbers in 1896. The 29 and 29-1 had the arm on top and the 29-2 was the first Singer patcher to have the rack on top. I would buy the machine since it is an early one and the decals are in great shape. Make a fine conversation piece and probably still works. glenn Edited December 9, 2017 by shoepatcher
