I wouldn't worry about that. I've thought that too, and when moving it toward the buckle, I thought it was too tight on the heel of the buckle. I'd leave it.

Jeff

Thanks. I would like to see your belts sometime?

I agree. I do think the last hole at the tip may be a bit too close though. The belt is very nicely done and a looks great. Most unusual to have 10 adjustment holes but it should be a good seller to ambitious weight watchers I reckon. Keep up the high standard King.

That's a tough one. I've done that too. Also the other version, last hole too far from the tip. I tend to leave extra for a "carry" belt, so if they add a holster, the strap is still long enough to leave enough billet with the added thickness of the holster or any mag holders. Not an issue everywhere, I realize. You don't have control over everything the end user will use the belt for, so you can only go with the averages.

Wow! Thats a good catch. That was actually a mistake. I was making 4 belts at a time to save time cost and I  had made a template for keeping the oval punch straight, I positioned it wrong on the second belt (too far to the tip) so i had to do the same to the first to even them up!

Thanks for the helpful critique. :)

When the mistake was made, I took your way of thinking especially when I didnt have his waist size at the time.

Thats a mistake also! :rolleyes2:

Update.

In my first post I had said the receiver didnt show the belts to anyone and I got no Ooo’s and Awaa’s...:clapping: Well, He did show them to his brother who is the Boss. He said the belts looked great and could I make him two also? And that the smell of the leather was gorgeous. :) Now... He didnt ask me how much would they cost? or he didnt ask me how long it takes to make a belt? So you know I wont be getting paid for them. ;) Well, The contract I’m working on is a sizable one and I figured there would be a backhander at some stage so... maybe I’ll be getting off light with these two belts? :youwish:

On the back of the belts I have caught the end of the strap with the pattern stitch and I think I’m happier with knowing everything is secure now.

I have sold things my whole life and have studied selling theory. Your mistake was hoping he would bring it to the other guys. He needed to wait for when he was with the other guys and present it to him and fawn about his great work. Then he will sell you to the other guys. We humans are fickle.

Nice belt

Lol, you’re right... that’s the way I should have presented them but you’re also right about us being fickle. I would prefer praise if any to be spontaneous and not forced even if it meant no sale.:dunno:
