Members Bigfoote Posted April 19, 2018 Members Report Posted April 19, 2018 Just a little trick for those using binder clips to hold seams together, don't know if anyone else does this? It keeps the binder clips from marking your leather. I use 4oz leather for this. Quote
Members billybopp Posted April 20, 2018 Members Report Posted April 20, 2018 I glued little chunks of leather in the news of mine, but like your idea better! Very cool. -Bill Quote
Contributing Member fredk Posted April 20, 2018 Contributing Member Report Posted April 20, 2018 This is a good idea On straight runs I put lolly [aka popsicle (?)] sticks between the jaws and the leather. This also helps to spread the loading further than the jaws themselves. On short runs or curves I just break the sticks to suit Quote

I used to do it that way till I figured out a better way. Quote
RockyAussie Posted April 21, 2018 Report Posted April 21, 2018 Nice idea. To date I cut a slice down a fish tank bubbler hose and slip them over but the do come loose sometimes. Thanks for sharing the tip. Quote
