Leonguaranipy Report post Posted July 5, 2018 (edited) Hi! Im looking out for used machines in Argentina and I would like to ask for some guidance. I mainly do leather backpacks but also wallets and bags. Is the adler 69 too heavy duty for my needs? I dont use very thick leather. Both machines are german made but are they both popular enough to not have problems finding replacements? Thanks in advance Edited July 5, 2018 by Leonguaranipy

Hockeymender Report post Posted July 5, 2018 Having had both of the mentioned machines, I would vote for the 335. It's been my experience that between to two the 335 is a smoother machine. The capabilities between the two are very close. I also like the stitch length adjustment on the 335 much more than the one on the Adler. The set up on the 69 is kind of confusing and just plain strange for a machine of it's caliber. Just my two cents worth.
DrmCa Report post Posted July 5, 2018 335 is not only smoother, it's also a gear driven vs belt driven Adler. Less chance of downtime with gears I reckon.

Just my two cents worth. I have got them both as well and word for word I agree. I do use the Adler 69 for more of the heaver work only because that work is less frequent and I can have 1 set up for the heaver settings. I do prefer the smoother Pfaff 335 and copy parts (feet and binder change overs etc) are easy and cheap to find on line.
