Members texback Posted September 11, 2018 Members Report Posted September 11, 2018 Another project I did when I found the time to do a little leather. The concho on the sheath is made from a 50 cent piece. I collect Bowie knives and picked this one up from our dear late friend Raysouth (Ray Dodge). Quote

bikermutt07 Posted September 11, 2018 Report Posted September 11, 2018 Great sheath and knife. I didn't get to really know Ray, but he sent some good deals my way. I was starting out when he was getting his affairs sorted. Seemed like a really nice man. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Members texback Posted September 14, 2018 Author Members Report Posted September 14, 2018 Thanks to all. Ray was one of a kind and a good man. Didn't know him personally other than the numerous emails and phone calls we exchanged. Only wish I had done this a long time ago so he could have seen it. I have two other knives I got from him with plans to make sheaths for each. Quote
