bikermutt07 Posted October 1, 2018 Author Report Posted October 1, 2018 Well I have two machines now. Where the desk is I am planning a long narrow bench with storage underneath. To the right of the desk I will make wall to wall shelving infront of that door. The wall to the left side of the desk is where my cabinet bank work area is as well as another door into the room. The wall behind the desk will get French cleats with clamps above the narrow bench to assist in long side cutting. It will probably make a good strap tooling area as well, if I ever decide to get into that. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.

bikermutt07 Posted October 1, 2018 Author Report Posted October 1, 2018 There is no more room to be had. And once I learn how to use them I should be good to go on whatever I want to make. It's hard having a wife & husband that both have similar space requirements for hobbies...The adler has been fondly adopted into the "sewing room" and the wife enjoys using it, she actually just started using the cowboy helping me out with some binding...she's been a seamstress since she was old enough to sit on her mother's lap and get a needle jabbed through her finger so her expertise really helps on some things. Here she is making quick work of the binding...video still processing so may take a while to be viewable. Quote Machines currently in use: Cowboy 3200, Adler 67-372, Singer 66, Singer 15-91
bikermutt07 Posted October 1, 2018 Author Report Posted October 1, 2018 @koreric75 I was wondering if you wanted to take on more of those straps/belts? I still haven't found a place for that tub full yet. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have them strung on a strong piece of lace to hang from a hook right now. Sucks when i need to get 1 out...lol Quote Machines currently in use: Cowboy 3200, Adler 67-372, Singer 66, Singer 15-91
Members Handstitched Posted October 2, 2018 Members Report Posted October 2, 2018 As space is at a prime, I used empty cleaned butter containers for all my hardware. See pic, centre left, on top of the shelves . thats only half of them. Not the ideal solution, I know , but it works. http://leatherworker.net/forum/uploads/monthly_2018_08/5b869fe92624f_WorkshopPics2018.gif.30864d7b0338c9d6d3e500212dc11254.gif HS Quote ' I have a very gweat friend in Wome called Biggus Dickus, He has a wife you know, do you know whats she's called?
