I have a tech sew 2700 that breaks the thread at the needle every time. Very frustrating at this point. I’m using 138 thread with the proper needle size, I’ve tried adjusting the tension every way possible with no luck. Also noticing that the thread is coming out of the last tension roll as it is getting slack there. I don’t know if I explained this very well as I’m new to this sewing adventure.

Check your needle for burrs, that will shred thread.

Is the thread passing around and into the check spring and is the spring's range of motion holding it taut until the needle pierces the material?

Here's what the threading of this area should look like.

Is your thread breaking at a certain point. Or during a function like back tac, or turning the material piece around. This could help a bit in the trouble shooting.

Sorry for the late response, had to go back to work. So I checked the things asked & found that I didn’t have the thread coming around the bottom tension spool properly. I had a #23 needle & changed to a #24. This seams to have helped I was able to sew 2 lengths of 14” with out breaking the thread. I’m just working on getting the tension set properly.

Thanks Very much for the replies

I prefer a #23 needle with #138 thread, top and bottom.
