Long road back !

Recommended Posts

It has been about 4 years since I had to sell my leather holster and belt making gear and supplies along with all of my guns because of an ugly divorce.

My leatherwork was my escape to my happy place. I could forget all my problems and enjoy the end result.

I tried to fill my leather crafting void by trying to make some Kydex products. There was no feeling of accomplishment with a holster made of plastic, so i sold all of that equipment and started to save for a new Cowboy machine.

So I'm happy to say tomorrow i will be picking up my new machine from Ryan Neel.  It will take a while to get back to my previous level of tools and blue guns but i am so excited to get back to doing something i love to do.

I will share some of my projects as they are completed. Happy to be back.

Welcome back.  I would fight like hell to keep my stuff in a divorce!  Thankfully, I had all of it beforehand!  Anyway, get back at it and post up some work!

Having it all beforehand doesn't always mean too much.   I started my business years before I knew my ex-husband, and he still tried to take it when we split.  It cost me a pile of money to keep it.  Dirty lawyers are the only winners in a deal like that.

This is true, but it's a lot better than buying it all during the marriage.  I'd burn it before I'd let it go.  Lawyers suck.
