Well it's all stitched up, I need to add a loop/snap for the handle and decide that to do to seal it up.
I'm thinking either antuquing it with dark brown or just hitting it with neetsfoot oil. Can you do both ?
I guess it's not awful for my first sheath in 40 years

I often use both NF oil and antique. When I do, I always put the NF on first, then follow up with the antique. Not saying that's the "right" or "only" way, just the way I do it.

That sheath absolutely is NOT awful. At this point, I'd personally go for the oil only.  I don't like ant-streak AT ALL, but I certainly would never put it over well done stitching!

i agree. In my experience the neatsfoot oil doesn't penetrate the antiquing finish well. In fact I've had it rub off some of the antiquing. I would try it with just the neatsfoot oil first and see how you like that. You can always add the antiquing later if it needs it.
