Members Fonzarellis Posted August 19, 2019 Members Report Posted August 19, 2019 Made my first bill for a ball cap. I ended up making several designs while I was at it. More to come later. I also made a "special" Bible cover for my brother's birthday this coming Saturday. First time using acrylic paints. I think I'll use a "2 hair" brush next time to get really clean edges on the cross. The bookmark is kind of a bonus thing to match the cover. Christmas will be a matching belt with the same design as the bookmark. Quote

Members YinTx Posted August 23, 2019 Members Report Posted August 23, 2019 Those are really cool! I've tried sketching up ball caps several times, they all ended up in the bin. I like the one you came up with, look forward to seeing your others. YinTx Quote
Members Fonzarellis Posted August 23, 2019 Author Members Report Posted August 23, 2019 Thanks. I use GIMP a lot for my design work. Bit of a learning curve but it's user friendly a best of all it's free. I pick a flower, a leaf or two, move 'em around then use other elements to fill in the big gaps and the rest is vinework. Build yourself a library of elements like scrolls, curls, folded vine leaves, furls, etc. And just size em to fit. Lot harder to just start from scratch. I have over a hundred flower types in my library. Quote
