Members chrisash Posted November 11, 2019 Members Report Posted November 11, 2019 Welcome from Norfolk, there are a few suppliers in the north where you can buy leather and tools, www.leprevo.co.uk asre up that way, very poor old fashioned website but good service just give them a call You can find some free ebooks, patterns and designs on a Tandy site https://www.leathercraftlibrary.com/. they used to charge for these but as its Tandy's 100 year they have made them all free Tandy supply all leather tools and leather but left the UK about 6 months ago so you need to order from the states, but there is also a sort of agent in the UK https://www.identityleathercraft.com/ who offer a good service along with https://www.artisanleather.co.uk/ Hope this helps, there are quite a few brits on here Quote

Members Azarl Posted November 14, 2019 Author Members Report Posted November 14, 2019 Thanks all I’m hoping to make smallish items to start with - bags wallets etc. But I’d really like to make leather jackets if I can master the skills necessary Quote
Members zuludog Posted November 14, 2019 Members Report Posted November 14, 2019 There are a lot of leather videos on YouTube, for both techniques and specific items; Search accordingly. Leodis Leather/Ian Atkinson's and Nigel Armitage's channels are pretty good Nigel does a video entitled ' How to make a simple Handmade Leather Wallet', and is as good a place to start as any Quote
