Bawarrior Report post Posted March 14, 2020 (edited) This is another willow hoop, 2nd piece for Man Cave 17"×19". Dragons appear in legends mostly as villain's never short on bravery. Leather is 3.5 only used tan antique, dyed rawhide. Edited March 14, 2020 by Bawarrior Add more
mikesc Report post Posted March 14, 2020 That's the way :) , now ..where the rawhide touches the willow, you'd also get a colour change..it would go slightly darker with age, as the proteins leech out from the rawhide into contact with the compounds in the willow.. so... billybopp Report post Posted March 14, 2020 I like it! The colors work well, and while in most cases it would make me crazy, but the odd-shaped leather piece works here! - Bill
Bawarrior Report post Posted March 14, 2020 Thanks for comments. Had hoop 1st fitted leather to hoop in a rustic kinda style. I wanted this kind of look, of course as always was hoping for the best.

I wanted this piece to look like it was found in a old garage some where. Old and dusty. Because of Mike's suggestion of using a beaver stretch, this style was born. Shooter Report post Posted March 19, 2020 You should check out some of the online Dungeons & Dragons forums, LARP & Cosplay sites. I don’t think you’d have much trouble selling all your hooped fantasy pieces you can produce. To avoid having the inner bark stick to the wood, strip the skin immediately after you cut it & water is still flowing. The tannins & acid of the bark will change the color of the organic materials it comes in contact with.
