I’ve been painting a few slobber straps but am unsure of how to finish them? Also, what is the difference between the leather acrylic paints and just normal craft paint? Any help would be appreciated!

Price is probably the largest difference

I think the leather versions are more flexible when dry

Firstly, welcome to the forum  :) :)

I use ' cova paints' , they are quite good and safe to use,  and like HJ said, they are flexible, however, I haven't used other craft paints before, as I don't know if they're suitable for leather, ie . flexibility, durability etc.

Also, what is a 'slobber strap' ?

@Handstitched Thanks!! Slobber straps attach your reins and bIt on a bridle. Very commonly used with a Mecate set up. More commonly seen in the ranch work industry

Thanks for that. After over  14  years of doing leather, bridle repairs etc.  , thats the first time I've seen them. Obviously more common in the US than here in Oz.
