Members shoepatcher Posted May 5, 2020 Members Report Posted May 5, 2020 Just wanted to know if anyone has ever come across an operations manual for a Singer UFA. I have searched for over 35 years for one or a copy of one. I have a parts list but not an operations manual. i have a hell of a collections for Singer shoe patcher manuals as well as Adler, Claes, Durkopp, Bradbury. thanks glenn Quote
Members jimi Posted May 5, 2020 Members Report Posted May 5, 2020 Hi Glenn, That looks like a difficult one to find?? have you tried contacting the Singer museum in Scotland?? you don´t by any chance have a picture of a original binder foot setup used on the 29k?? it is hard to make out in the parts manual with only the birds eye view. Members shoepatcher Posted May 6, 2020 Author Members Report Posted May 6, 2020 (edited) Jimi, I have binders for shoepatchers by Adler but not the setup Singer used on the 29. I wish I had those parts. Did you know Singer made a few long stitch versions? The 29K10, 11 and 16 I believe. Also had a high lift version like Adler. It was the 29K21. I will get you pics of the binder feet I have. send me your email. glenn Edited May 6, 2020 by shoepatcher grammar Quote

Members shoepatcher Posted May 8, 2020 Author Members Report Posted May 8, 2020 I have looked for a 29K21 for over 35 years. No luck. Would be fun to have one. I have a 29-5 head. this was a two needle shoepatcher made from 1906-1908. The head I have has been converted back to a single needle machine. I only have the literature that Singer made it. Never found any parts list or operations manual. I am getting out of working on Singer shoepatchers this fall. Going to concentrate on Adlers, Durkopps, Claes, any anything odd. How about you? Any oddballs? I have 50 shoepatchers to rebuild counting the 13 Singers I have. glenn Quote
Members jimi Posted May 8, 2020 Members Report Posted May 8, 2020 Two needle? that is an oddball, as you can see, above the catalouge is from 1907 and they did not include it there? I imagine adlers are harder to find over in the states?? You can get some real bargins over here if you look around, I just saw a 105 needle feed model go for €13!! in germany.... The only sort of oddball i have come across is the 17-10 i have in a box due to lack of space lol.... never could find pictures or original parts for that one?? the parts book is available but that´s it. I imagine you get parts machined to restore them Glenn?? Quote
