Hairic Report post Posted December 31, 2020 Hey guys Just going to Start a thread so I can post projects up and not have to create multiple threads, I'm Still new after dabbling in leather for about 4 years now, But Ill post Thing's I have done and let me know what you think. First is Just some tooling practice As I just dont do it enough, I also am trying to none traditional tooling (avoiding flowers and scroll work). This went left to right the first time I had tooled in well over two years to the next day to the day after that, The far right one didn't come out to bad, I was mostly trying to get better with my swivel cuts and I think I was able to make it look much cleaner. Hairic Report post Posted December 31, 2020 This is a saddle bag that I made for my Harley a while back so these pics show the dirt and junk I got on it because I did not seal this or anything, Design is actually super simple, I was proud of the stitching I did as its all hand stitched, Had a few mess ups but was actually happy with the results. Hairic Report post Posted December 31, 2020 This is a purse I made awhile back aswell, Made it for my wife, used a small tool to do all the scales, took awhile but did come out pretty cool. Design flaw was that the flap was cut to thin so the sides flaired out and could dump things, I had attempted a draw string on it that failed horribly so i removed them. Hairic Report post Posted January 13, 2021 Made this little doodle pad for an artist buddy of mine, Had planed to tool it and make it all fancy but I didn't because my tooling just needs work. I made the pages inside about 2 years ago and have just been holding on to them for that long, decided to use some scraps and whip him up something quick. Another one I wouldn't sell as it has to many imperfections but I think it will be good for him to use in everyday life and not worry about it getting destroyed. Hairic Report post Posted February 7, 2022 Been Gone for a while as I have been busy trying to get my little business going, doing cabinets and furniture/ wood working, been going ok, Been wanting to get back into leather and so just made a quick wallet today, Design I believe From corter leather/ weaver, Cant remember as its been a while since I got it. Any way going to go ahead and build a leather shop after I get my wood shop refinished and hope to be doig more. For now here is my little wallet. Need to take better pics to sorry. Hairic Report post Posted February 26, 2022 (edited) Some tooling practice, Some of these have been posted in other threads But I want to post my progress here so, Any way the eagle I did today, I really just did it for the Swivel knife practice, Then started with one backgrounder and didn't like it so switched then just kind of used it for other practice, What do you all use for backgrounding in tight spots, I couldn't really figure it out so took a tiny pear shader thing and just shaded in between them feathers on the eagle. Im also wondering if Im cutting to deep with my swivel knife, or maybe the other way around, its like you can still see the cut line like around the beak of the eagle, any thoughts? Hairic Report post Posted February 26, 2022 (edited) Here is a wallet I made, same design as the previous one I posted but I shot my Logo on it with my laser and made the cash pocket a little larger for easier removal. Hand stitched, Have a few more that need stitched but I am now waiting on my Sewing machine to be delivered so Going to wait to finish them using it, cause I'm lazy lol. Hairic Report post Posted October 5, 2022 I have not updated my little page in a while so Im just going to dump some pics of a few things I have made recently. First was a little pliers holster I guy wanted, He had one that was designed to be on his left, He wanted one for his right. Think that was my first time to ever basket weave. Next Is a little sheath Ill call it for lack of a better term, Customer wanted something he could toss into his glove box, got a little old glory tooled in, that was actually really hard to do for some reason haha. Next is a dog color and then a couple belts, followed by a few wallets I did for a fund raiser I went ahead and lasered on the t shirt logo for this year on two of them, turned out ok.
