Leather is not flat, so you will have to force it somehow. Northmount Posted March 15, 2021 Report Posted March 15, 2021 Chances are it is the lace that is causing it to warp. You can try flattening the lace by pounding it with a flat faced hammer. Be careful not to leave marks. Moistening the back and laying a flat weighted board on it for a couple days could maybe do the job too. Quote

Next time, bury a small solid-core electrical cable under the lacing, as a stiffening armature. Quote
