Using my new machine. 5100.
I have about 11’ of stitching with it under my belt now.
I used Chicago fasteners for the Bullit loops. .357.
3/4” spacing on the belt and 11/4” on the strap. If I switch to .45 I can take it off, add 1/8 to the strap centers and it should work using 4-5 oz veg tanned. Everything will be copper tho. They were in the post so I’ll have to swap the stainless ones out when they get here.
anyway. Here it is

Looks like both of us got new machines . .  . been wanting a Cowboy for wayyyyy too long . . .  finally was actually given a gift . . . was able to use it . . . got a 4500.

What brand is your machine?  Looks like it does a great job . . .

I took the liberty of turning your pic and enlarging it for the rest of the folks . . . great job . . .

May God bless,

Dwight

It’s a Techsew 5100 standard.  I’m really enjoying learning how to use a machine.

Broke a needle in the middle of stitching the buckle loop on.  Really freaked me out. But it was thru 4 layers.  Defiantly learned a thing or 2 on that one.

Do you have a table like surface for yours??

My old machine was a Tippmann Boss . . . a great machine . . . but I had to make a flat table surface for it . . . otherwise my back stitches were not perfectly parallel to the front.  AND . . .  I did bust a few needles until I really caught on to using it . . . and the flat table attachment I made took that away for almost 100%

Had to do the same thing with my Cowboy . . . but it came with an attachment I put on it that gives me basically a table for it.  I'll add some to it . . . as I'll be doing some things that will be long and or wide . . . gunbelts just being one of them.

May God bless,

Dwight

Good looking rig, I never would’ve guessed it was your first one.  What size thread did you use?  I’m working on a 10 gauge shotgun belt, my plan is to sew between the loops, figure I’ll give my new sewing machine a good work out.
