CFM Frodo Posted February 4, 2022 CFM Report Posted February 4, 2022 Just a thought. A drill press can be used as a arbor press. Lets be honest here, you are going to use the press for a clicker die and setting snaps we are not talking more than 1 ton of pressure. I would look around at fleas markets nd pawn shops for an older drill press and robust rack and pinion gears Quote Singer 66, Chi Chi Patcher, Rex 26-188, singer 29k62 , 2-needles D.C.F.M

I would use that press in my reloading room for DE-capping. I believe it could handle that job. Members Treesner Posted April 14, 2022 Author Members Report Posted April 14, 2022 found this one, is 450$ but would be pretty easy to mod something similar DIY with angle grinder I would think https://www.woodysrocks.com/store/p142/1_Ton_Arbor_Press.html#/ Quote
Members dikman Posted April 14, 2022 Members Report Posted April 14, 2022 Interesting modification but those extended legs have to affect the overall rigidity. Members BIGGUNDOCTOR Posted April 17, 2022 Members Report Posted April 17, 2022 (edited) A broaching arbor press has a taller opening in order to put the broaches in. Edited April 17, 2022 by BIGGUNDOCTOR Quote You laugh at me because I am different. I laugh at you because you are all the same.
