I do projects that are both leather and material. KAMsnaps seems to be the quality product for bagmakers. I’ve heard fans of the Buckleguy. For those that have used both companies/presses what did you like or dislike? Range of application?

Going to try some carving and stamping. Looking around at what folks were using. Didn't really want to spend too much money on a piece of granite. Drove by a custom counter top shop. Stopped and asked if I could buy a piece of cut out or scrap. After I explained what I wanted it for he showed me his dumpster. He said take what I want as he has to pay to have it hauled away. I offered again to pay, he said no. Then I went into his dumpster...this is what I have now. Very nice smooth pieces. Never hurts to ask!!

I have searched everywhere and I can't seem to come up with a vendor who carries 4 inch roller buckles OTHER than the one model that Weaver carries. I can get by with their Stainless Steel version for now but I have had several requests for black and even brass buckles for weightlifting belts. Anyone know of anywhere I can look to maybe find some? I've emailed a couple hardware websites and been told to search Amazon..... already tried that route! Thanks for any help!

Hey Everyone! I have been using the same line 20 button snaps for a few years now and have been disappointed to one degree or another every time I have used them. They are easily unbuttoned and unreliable. Do you have any suggestions on where I can find good button snaps? What do you use?

I’m looking for a strap cutter tool but I would like to get one where the blades are easily available. Or at least where I have some options. I know many of you have recommended the Tandy strap cutter (wooden block) but in searching for the blades online, the only place I find them is at Tandy. Nothing wrong with Tandy, I just want to be able to source replacements quickly. Are there other blade options for that tool? Part number? Ive also seen other wooden block style cutters that use SDI style blades. These blades are easily available but curious if anyone has used one of these?

Are Goldstar grommets differently sized than other grommets? I'm completely baffled by what I'm finding. I have a bunch of size 00 (3/16") grommets from two different sellers; the measurements are: Eyelet: 3/16" (4.75mm) Outside Width: 7/16" (11mm) (like these grommets from The Buckle Guy) I recently decided to buy a goldstar press and the 3/16" die setter in order to stop hammering. None of my 00 grommets fit inside their press, and according to their website a 00 grommet has an outer diameter of 9mm. Are they making nonstandard grommet sizing? I really can't figure out what's going on.

Hi. Are 4mm eyelets available without nicks? I make simple leather boots and use 4mm eyelets with nicks from Abbey England. Unfortunately, the nicked edges scuff the tongue of the boots. Thanks. Scott

Anyone out there know where I can get some metal clips like these for pocket sheaths? I'm really looking for something other than the standard holster clips.....smaller and more modern. Thanks. Neal
