I do not use Tandy leather. I was useing Siegel of Calif. until they just went out of business. Zack White leather co. has some good db shoulders, Wickett & Craig is some of the best . none of it is cheap. If you buy the double shoulders and strip your own is cheaper in the long run.
-
question: where are you buying your leather? I have been useing 8/9 or 9/10 oz double shoulders for years and no problems. just buy a top grade leather and not the cheapest.

Your Opinion On Gun Belts...
cowhide replied to Rayban's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
Rg, I agree with you. a 9/10oz double shoulder or 9/10 double butt is not going to cave in. the first thing that will give out on a stitch belt is the stitching. -
I know most sew 2 layers of 6/7 oz leather together but why can you not use 9/10 double shoulder or 9/10 oz double butts. There is no way you can crush a 1 1/2" belt .

You are correct. My moisture may not be right will recheck it and retry, thanks

making your own blue guns?
cowhide replied to jsroye96's topic in Gun Holsters, Rifle Slings and Knife Sheathes
John, I understand the red or blue guns can get quite expensive.what you can do is look up Airsolf.com look at the spring loaded pistols. You can get them from $5 up to $30. They are a hard plastic of a 1:1 ratio. look upder :airsolfofatl.com then click on spring. let me know what you think,Stephen
