Wolve, Someone did mentioned LDPE: Low Density Polyethelene the last time but I don't have that. I tried on an x-ray film this afternoon, it didn't rise high enough to give you a good impression on the leather. Then I used a piece of plastic that someone from NC gave me, it did pop up a little better and produce quite a visible impression. As this is my first time trying it out ( not a pattern ), this is what I can say; if you'll to trace directly onto the plastic, you need a very fine marker pen as the engraver (mine) is pin pointed. After tracing, you turn the plastic the other way so that you're engraving a 'mirror' image. Later I found that it maybe better if I'll to trace it on a tracing paper then turn the paper around and place the plastic over it for engraving. It's almost midnight over here, too noisy to try it. If I find the time tomorrow, I'll tell you more. At the meantime, maybe our friend whom he received a piece from Verlane can tell us how he did it - Brandon

I used to cut but am not good at it, worst for letterings. When I saw my friend did a key fob with his initial on it, I asked how he did it....... Apply more pressure on your craftaid or on the tracing paper. Better still if you use a thick marker pen to write it on a paper then trace that onto the tracing paper. With that deep enough outline on your leather just go over it with the beveler of your choice. Am very sure that I'm not the only one out here that does it this way- Brandon

Use a template! Anything that is round you find in your house. Cups,glasses, lids, the last chip that you kept from the casino, DVD,VCD etc..................

Someone sent me a bottle of Corn Huskers Lotion, burnished well and smells good too. I still prefer water.Lazy I guess.

I don't know much about stingray but I've been sitting on my wallet for years and have not seen the pearls been flattened like in your pic. Infact, I can still used it to make a buckle when the wallet's interior was worn off. I was in a stingray shop in Bankok where they told me that there're different grades and that the lower grade's preals will drop off but they didn't mention that they be flattened. While there I saw a lady sitting at a corner gluing the pearls back on some projects using a pair of pincers and Loctite.

Great job! Now if those fungi are 'Linzhi' you will be rich!
