  1. Almost done Ok this is all of them so far. I figured I would get them all out at once.. I wont have to do this for another few yrs now. lol.
  2. These are alot of the items i have made in the past. It is to hard for me to post pics and thats why i have not in the past. Since i had a lot of free time today at work I thought i would work on resizing some and show off. As you can see I do not do just Holsters any more. I dabble in a little of everything. My current venture is canvas/leather bags. That is a different monster for me so ill take the challenge. I am out in the oil field now just setting in a office staring at a monitor so why not use that time to come up with ideas an actually make stuff. I cannot bring my whole shop out here but i do have the most important tools. A few of the pictured items have been made out here in the field. Well enough talking and on the the pictures. Enjoy
  3. can you notch that section out and make it look nice ? just cut around where the mag release and put a nice curve to blend in the notch and that should be fine. just a thought.

    Gift Boxes

Hello Everyone, I wanted to know if anyone knows where I can buy some black cardboard boxes with lids like the one in this thread http://leatherworker...showtopic=42694 , i have looked all over Google and only can find big suppliers overseas with a usual minimun of around 500. I would like to start sending my wallets in these boxes if i can find them. Thank you for the help!! Benjamin
  6. Awsome video, thanks for the post. Not to deviate from the OP but can anyone tell me where i i can get that 10 prong punch he uses to make the stitching holes. I have scoured the net an come up with nothing every time, and im so frustrated at the search i dont want to use it any more. If there is any help out there i would be very greatfull. Thank you.

  10. cool, how did you make it ? Is there a process I can read or something
  11. Great job on the wallets, they should like them.
  12. Kevin , if the xdm 3.8 does not go through I will take it, as well as the xd compact and xd 45 as long is it is not the long long barrel or the tactical model . I will call your shop monday morning . thanks Ben
  13. yea your right , it is a LC9. I always get them confused , even when I posted it avaliable on my site I typed in LCP and not LC9 .. I still sometimes still write 2010 . Of well and it is still a nice holster , hopefully someday I will get around to trying to make that style ,I really do like it . Have you thought of making your own belt clips from kydex? I heard it is pretty easy , and thats all I know. again hopefully I do plan to try them sometime . Ben
  14. nice work . I really like the belt and the IWB for the LCP. Is that the belt clip from crossbreed ?
  15. those are very nice shooter . Is there a back strap on the mag and flashlight holder holding in the flashlight on the back side ? As far as the elephant I cant help you there but I would also like to know what part of the elephant it comes from.
  16. well I had the same problem you are having , I think what the problem is that the at the feed end of the mag, the thickness tapers out the the butt. and that was causing the leather to not expand and straightening the stitch line so what I did was move in the bottom of the stitch line to compensate that and when wet formed the line straightened out to look perfect . Its hard to explaine but you can see what im talking about .On the pattern you can see the line on the left side of the pattern is inward on the bottom more than the top . it looks funny at 1st but cleans up nicely after forming . You can see in the next pic how everything is straightened up and looks normal
  17. Great looking holsters. My trick on black dye whether oil or spirit, it to use the super or satin sheen and apply with a old clean t shirt, just waad it up into a square big enough to cover the opening and the bottle . Apply some sheen to t shirt and rub into leather, at 1st it will be bubbly but just keep rubbing and it will start to dissappear and start to soak in until it is all gone, then stop or after that point it will start streaking. This method has not failed me yet. In the past I would airbrush resolene/water mix and if it didn't "set" right the finish would peel right off, I have tried all the brushes, wool, towels , airbrushing, spraying and could not get any as good as the t shirt method. Now remember this is only for black dye that I do this for, sure it will work on all colors but for the other colors I use the resolene/water mix airbrushed and have had no problems. Don't forget that preparation(rubbing excess off) is a very important key to getting your sealer to look and seal well. Ben
  18. Cool, I hope it works out for you. Yea I got mine from midway and it was super fast shipping even for there cheapest shipping. Let me know what you think . And I guess no one else has tried it out, but you are right about the price. I actually thought about for a long time before I made the purchase and when business was good and I could spare a extra 20 , I made the purchase. Ben
  19. I don't think it makes the leather firmer, its just like a top coat that I think bonds or soaks in the leather and leaving a very slick surface. I just use it on the slide part forward of the ejection port only where the marks are left from the gun onto the leather to relieve some of the friction I don't use it to burnish the leather, it is the very last step in the process, after my resolene is dried on the inside on the holster then I will apply it. It is dry to the touch after 20 mins or so but I let dry over night and then ship holster next day. How long does it last you ask in the can ? Well I have done about 25 holsters with it and I still have not seen any drop in the level of the container. Picture this, you have a little cup of ketchup with some magic beans mixed in and you want to take a taste, you just dabb your finger into it, that little tiny drop is all I use of that mix. Like I said it does not dry up right away and it has no place to go into the leather with the sealer sprayed in, so it just stays on top and that little drop will go a long way in that holster. But when it is dry I try to rub my fingernail over it to make sure it does not " crust" off and it never has. It does not dry lumpy or anything like that, it dries flat and if you rub your finger over it once its dried you will not even feel it on top of the leather. As far as the magic beans, I think it has magic dust in it. Ben
  20. That's cool guys. I don't expect anyone to go jump for joy on a product that doesnt have magic beans, I was just posting to see if anyone else uses it. I put the link to to so you could read exactly what it is and does . But I have paid more for other leather stuff that doesn't have magic beans. Silly me
